Applications and benefits :-
- Wingers and
fullbacks need constant practice in catching high, long kicks. The forwards
(and particularly second-rows) need to practice catching 10 metre kicks
and dropouts. With this machine these players will field more kicks
in a week then they normally would in an entire season.
- Various counterattack options
can be practised without taking the best kicker away from where he really
needs to be, behind the ball. Any available individual can operate the
machine, thus freeing both coach and kicker.
- When practising
kickoffs & dropouts (both following and receiving), no time is wasted.
With the machine doing the kicking, balls go exactly where you want
them to, so your players learn their assignments efficiently.
- Put the machine on short legs
and your fly-half will receive a stream of consistent "scrum-half
passes" without utilising the scrum-half. (Short legs sold separately)
- Use the machine
for a variety of enjoyable, competitive conditioning drills. All players
will get plenty of sprinting while chasing down perfectly placed kicks.
You can place the ball just beyond the reach of your players and with
the incentive to catch the ball, they will give that extra effort!
- The distance and height of the
kick are controlled by changing the speed of the wheels and by tilting
them upward or downward. Turning a dial changes the wheel speed. A simple
lever locks the unit after any lateral or vertical change. Once set the
machine will kick rugby balls to the same spot time after time.
- Whether
you are delivering end-over-end kick offs or booming 75 metre spiraling
punts, the machine is easy to operate. A simple adjustment of the wheel
angle determines whether the ball will be a spiral or end-over-end kick.
A variety of power options is available including: mains electric, portable
generator or a rechargeable battery powered system.
- The machine can be easily moved and set
up by one person. Relocating the machine simply involves tipping it onto
its transport wheel and then rolling it like a wheelbarrow.
