Packmat
Description
The Pack Mat scrummage training surface covers a 3m x 3m area and consists of nine (9) separate, semi-rigid, square modules. Modules are safe, durable and weatherproof, with a high coefficient of friction and together, they provide a suitable area on which a full pack of adult rugby forwards may safely and effectively conduct scrummage training. The system can be easily taken up and relocated.

Material
Each Pack Mat module is manufactured with carefully controlled quantities of recycled rubber cuttings, bonded with resin in a high pressure / temperature process, and moulded to form a 40mm thick, 1 metre square pad.

Maintenance
Indoors: No maintenance required.
Outdoors: Reasonable care should be taken to keep the surface from "tracked-on" soil and mud. The surface can be swept, hosed or scrubbed as required.
Application
The Pack Mat system is ideal for use with Indoor scrum machines. Having no "loose" particulate matter, it's clean, non-slip surface allows players wearing normal indoor training shoes to undertake scrum-specific exercises and to undergo analysis in a controlled gymnasium environment.
The Pack Mat will also "take a stud", allowing it to be utilised with outdoor scrummage machines. The system is tough enough to withstand protracted use by a full pack rugby forwards wearing normal, studded rugby boots and enables them to train effectively when particularly wet or muddy ground conditions might otherwise preclude such activities.
The Pack Mat system can be used "freestanding", or contained within a metal frame (supplied at extra cost) which can be attached to a scrum machine. When used indoors, the system may be installed in a floor recess

Convenience
The modular nature of the system allows it to be conveniently stored when not in use. Modules are stackable and easily lifted by two persons.
